In conjunction with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), Bishop Walkowiak is asking parishioners of the diocese to give toward a special collection in September to assist in relief and recovery efforts for victims of natural disasters in the United States. The funds collected are being directed to the USCCB Emergency Disaster Relief Fund and will be used to support the work of Catholic Charities USA and/or Catholic Relief Services as they and their local agencies respond to immediate emergency needs of victims through the provision of water, food, shelter and medical care and aid in long-term rebuilding and recovery efforts.
